Three things that make the difference

Waiting has its own cost

Waiting months with a stiff neck or a back that has started interfering with sleep is its own problem: you move less, you brace more, and the thing that started small settles in.

What to do while you wait for NHS physiotherapy

Evenings and weekends

Weekday appointments run to 20:00, and Saturday afternoons are open from 14:00, so treatment fits around a working day rather than competing with it.

Genuinely local, on Roumelia Lane

The clinic is on Roumelia Lane in Boscombe, a few minutes from Southbourne and Pokesdown and a short drive from Christchurch. Not a call centre and not a chain: one physiotherapist, the same room every visit, and nothing handed on between appointments. About Deborah

An assessment, then a plan you can follow

No mystery, no jargon for its own sake. You will know what is going on and what you are doing about it before you leave.

  1. Assessment

What hurts, when it started, what makes it worse, and what you need to get back to. Then a physical assessment: movement, strength, and how you load the area.

  2. Hands-on treatment

Treatment starts in the first appointment where it is appropriate. You will also leave with an explanation and clear next steps rather than only an appointment for next time.

  3. A plan in plain English

A small number of exercises that matter, sensible advice on posture and daily habits, and a realistic idea of how long recovery should take.

Neck and back pain, treated by someone who asks about your day

Most neck and back pain builds slowly: long hours at a screen, a commute, a bag carried on one side, and posture that has quietly caught up with you. Some of it arrives all at once, after a car accident or an awkward lift. Either way, treatment covers what is irritated now and what to change so it does not settle back in.

Neck pain and back pain are the two most common reasons people book. Posture and desk-related pain and whiplash after a road traffic accident are covered too.

Someone who listens. A next step you understand.

You don’t need to have it all worked out before you get in touch.

  1. Tell Deborah what’s troubling you.

Call, text or send a WhatsApp message to 07305 447682.

  2. Talk through your next step.

Ask whether an appointment may be right for you.

  3. Arrange a time that works.

Appointments are arranged directly with Deborah, weekdays to 20:00 and Saturday afternoons from 14:00.

Staying strong, and getting back on your feet after surgery

Stiff hips, a grumbling knee and shoulders that no longer reach the top shelf are common, and they respond well to strength work set at the right level. Structured rehabilitation after a hip or knee replacement, or another operation, is covered too, following the plan agreed with your surgical team.

A real place. A familiar face.

One-to-one physiotherapy with Deborah Orilabawaye at Shop 2, 4-6 Roumelia Lane, Boscombe. One treatment room and one physiotherapist, the same room every visit, so nothing gets handed on between appointments.

It is quiet and private rather than a gym floor, which matters if being watched while you move is half of what puts you off going.
