Physiotherapy pricing: £65 for your first 60-minute appointment
Follow-ups are £50 for 30 minutes. Fit is self-pay and no GP referral is needed.
Prices
The prices below are what you pay directly. Fit is self-pay, so there is no policy or claim to arrange first.
| Appointment | What it includes | Length | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial assessment | A full assessment of the problem: the history, what provokes and settles it, and how the area moves and loads. Hands-on treatment on the same day where it is appropriate, and a written plan with a realistic timescale and the exercises to start with. | 60 minutes | £65 |
| Follow-up appointment | A review of what has changed since the last visit, further hands-on treatment where it helps, and progression of the exercise plan. If something is not working, this is where it gets changed rather than repeated. | 30 minutes | £50 |
The price you see is the price you pay
There is no assessment surcharge on top of the first appointment. The initial assessment price covers the assessment, the treatment given on the day and the plan you leave with. Those are not three separate things to be billed for.
There are no hidden fees. No booking fee, no admin charge for a written plan, and no charge for the exercises. If tape or a similar consumable is used during an appointment, it is part of the treatment rather than an item on a bill.
You will always know the cost before booking. The prices are published above, and the plan agreed at your assessment tells you roughly how many appointments are likely, so the total is not a surprise that arrives four visits in.
How payment works
Payment is by bank transfer or in person at the clinic, whichever is easier for you. Details are given when you book, and you settle up at or around your appointment rather than through an online checkout.
For now there is nothing to pay upfront on the website: you get in touch, agree a time, and pay simply once you are booked in.
Paying for your appointment
Appointments are self-pay. The prices above are what you pay directly, and you do not need a GP referral to book.
Two things people check at the same time as the price
Do I need a GP referral before booking?
No. Physiotherapy is a self-referral profession, so you can book privately without seeing a GP first and without a diagnosis or a scan.
Can I book privately while I am on an NHS waiting list?
Yes. Booking privately does not remove you from an NHS waiting list. Plenty of people use a few private appointments to get moving while they wait, and let the NHS service know if the problem has resolved by the time their appointment comes round.
